EAU DE PARFUM 2021 LIMITED EDITION

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel upended the norms of perfumery with the creation of N°5. A radical creation that revolutionized the traditions of its era. A fragrance turned icon, a design piece whose bottle and label are distinctly identifiable.
N°5 celebrates 100 years of celebrity in 2021. To mark the occasion, CHANEL has restyled the fragrance label, embossing it with Gabrielle Chanel's lucky number in gold.
A biodegradable paper pulp case hugs the distinctive shape of the bottle and is sealed with a wax stamp, an allusion to baudruchage, the unique craftsmanship of CHANEL fragrances.

In 2021, in partnership with Maison Pochet, a French Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), CHANEL has created a remarkable innovation: the first perfume bottle containing recycled glass that maintains complete shine and transparency. A new quality of glass, obtained via a specific step in the recycling process.

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel called upon Ernest Beaux to create an intense and original "woman's perfume, a scent of woman." The nose presented her with a visionary composition that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample of the fragrance and decided to simply name it number 5. For this new fragrance, she selected a bottle with a revolutionary design, adorned with a white label and topped with a faceted cabochon. Jacques Polge, who became the CHANEL nose in 1978, reinterpreted his predecessor's composition in 1986 to create a more voluptuous version of N°5: the eau de parfum.

The eau de parfum draws inspiration from the parfum, which shares its floral-aldehyde signature.
The floral bouquet composed around May rose and jasmine features bright citrus top notes. Aldehydes give it a unique presence, and a smooth touch of vanilla creates an voluptuous trail.

Spray generously onto the skin or inside clothing.
Completing your fragrance ritual with bath and body products is another way to prolong the trail of the fragrance.
